Ajax Slideshow with a database

Hi there,

I have just had a look at the demo slideshow and I am very impressed with it.

I have opened up vs and I dont have the control available to me....Do I need to download it from somewhere else?

Has anyone used this control with a database storing the images? if so do you have an example I could have a play around with.

Thanks for your time

Shane

yes - there is a seperate download for AJAX.

The downloads for both the AJAX Extensions and the AJAX Control Toolkit can be found here:

http://ajax.asp.net/downloads/default.aspx?tabid=47

Hi Mike,

Do I need to install both or just the new control toolbox?

Thanks

Shane

At a minimum, you'll need the AJAX Extensions (ASP.NET AJAX 1.0). This privides you with the core AJAX functionality.

The Control Toolkit is optional and is only needed if you want to use any of the controls it contains:
You can see what's in the Control Toolkit here:http://ajax.asp.net/ajaxtoolkit/

There's also the Futures CTP which contains unreleased functionality for testing
and the AJAX Library if you are not using .NET but still want to utilize some of the client side functionality.

Thanks Mike,

I already had the AJAX 1.0 installed just wasn't sure if I needed to reinstall it.
I will go ahead and remove my current toolkit and insert the new one.

Thanks

Shane
